Owens River Gorge

Horseshoe Bend of the Owens River Gorge is most often viewed from a trail on the western side of the gorge. I wanted to get an image of this impressive formation with Mount Tom in the background. There is no trail to this viewpoint, but after consulting maps and roads of the Volcanic Tableland, I found a good place to launch from my truck for the 3-mile hike. Fortunately, the early morning light was soft due to the high clouds.

About the Fine Art Photos
