Cloud Texture

Clouds and the textures and patterns found in nature are some of my favorite photographic subjects, so when I spotted this evolving cloud pattern I was excited to photograph it. A large cumulonimbus cloud had formed above the top of Sherwin Grade, northeast of my home. But as it rained and the evening cool-off began, the cloud fairly quickly dissipated, producing a few mamma-like formations (seen here near the center) associated with downdrafts of waning cumulonimbus clouds. The texture of these variable clouds as the sun sank lower made a very appealing image.

This photo works well as either a canvas or metal print.

About the Fine Art Photos
